On November 22, 2025, the Sequoia Ravens concluded their record breaking varsity volleyball season in a climactic game against Academy of Our Lady of Peace. The game was located in Orange, California at Santiago Canyon College at 1:30 PM.
The game ended with a loss against the San Diego team, however each of the three sets was incredibly close. The final score of each set was within 7 points:, 25-18, 25-23 and 25-19. Throughout the season the Ravens maintained a strong win/loss ratio of 25-16 and won the NorCal Championship title with a three game winning streak..
In terms of game performance and morale, many of the team-members played their hardest and are proud of how far they came.
“Our team did really well at defense and serve-receive in the back row. As a team, we’re all really proud of how we played all season,” Rightside Oceane Lacasse said.
The Ravens persevered through a multitude of stressful situations throughout the last few months, team composition and attitude played a key role in their ability to do so.
“Our team dynamic was so much fun this year. We were able to accomplish something that no other team at Sequoia has been able to do which is so amazing,” Lacasse said.
Winning the NorCal title was a first in Sequoia’s history, no other Sequoia team has ever played in a NorCal championship, let alone clenched the title.
“Now that we know we’re capable of all we’ve done, it’ll encourage us to go out even further next year and go out hard,” Lacasse said.
